EA Sports NHL11 Rocks!

For those of you who are living under a rock, NHL11 was released last Tuesday. Its Killer! The game is so much better then NHL10. The face offs are pretty cool and you can even break your stick. It has new quick dekes, hip checks and when the home team scores, the scoring player gets a spot light. There is a lot more but you need to see it for yourself. My gamertag is murphhockey.

LOL My Dad can’t figure out how to win a face off yet.

The only thing that isn’t cool is that if you have more then one Live account on your Xbox, EA Sports wants $9.99 for you to play online for each additional account. So my account was free but my Dad had to pay 10 bucks.

It looks like NHL11 will be the only hockey game in town for Xbox and PS3. 2K11 is only for the Wii this year. No big loss!

If your going to buy NHL11, I would appreciate if you pick it up at my store. I have both versions there. Here is the direct Link: NHL11

Working out with Phoenix Coyotes Mike Bahn

In February, I attend a Phoenix Coyotes Hockey Development Clinic at Jobing.com Arena. We took a tour of the CoyotesMurph working out with the Phoenix Coyotes TrainerAdd New locker room and their incredible fitness facility.

The Coyotes locker room is so awesome.  Across the hall;  I saw where they get their skates sharpened, and Doan’s jerseys were hanging in a dry cleaning bag.  The players sticks are lined up on a long wall and Upshall’s stick had a smiley face on it.Upshall's Hockey Stick :)

The Phoenix Coyotes Strength & Conditioning Coordinator Mike Bahn showed us some of the exercises he does with the Coyotes players.  It was pretty cool that I got to be his partner.  He gave us a good workout before going to the locker room to dress for the ice.

Included in the clinic was tickets to the Coyotes game the next night.  This is a great hockey clinic.

Hockey Rocks!

Vote for your Favorite Manitoba Moose Player!

I voted for Arizona’s own Dusty Collins!

watch it. play it. live it. I did it ALL this weekend!!

Nothing beats scoring the first goal of the game for the Phoenix Polar Bears at Jobing.com Arena; except for hearing my name announced in the Phoenix Coyotes House! It was my first goal at Jobing.com and it was another highlight to my year!!

The Coyotes had just won their game the night before, their energy was still in the building! Our game against the IE Runners ended in a 5-5 tie.

A BIG thanks goes out to USA Hockey for giving us the opportunity to celebrate Hockey Across America! Thanks also to my teammate Jack for the perfect pass and to my Coach (Ed Kastelic), who loves the game of hockey and coaching it! Hockey Brings us together!

Murph Meets Phoenix Coyotes Lombardi

I was so excited when I found out the Phoenix Coyotes Scottie Upshall and Matthew LombardiMurph With Phoenix Coyotes Lombardi were coming to Polar Ice Chandler to meet fans.  Unfortunately; they were going to be there while I was on the ice for travel practice.  My mom waited in line and got my Coyotes jersey signed, but I really wanted to meet both of them.

After practice my teammates and I were getting changed when the locker room door opened and Lombardi walked it.  Matthew heard that we didn’t get to see the players because we were on the ice, so he came to in to take photos with us.  It was so awesome!  My teammates were so excited and we will NEVER forget it!  Lombardi ROCKS on the ice and off!!
