How can this be? I am soooooo bummed over the Shark’s loss last night. Painful!! The Sharks had 35 shots on goal to the Ducks 17?? We just could not find an opening and how many times did the puck hit the crossbar?? Painful!!

I love my new Sharks goalie Helmet, it was a gift from my parents because the Sharks are in the Playoffs! I was Nabby in goal during the intermission breaks. The helmet ROCKS!

Until Sunday when the Sharks take on the Ducks for game 2. Murph #27

Roenick hopes Cup is career’s exclamation point
Tuesday, 04.14.2009 / 12:26 PM / 2009 Playoffs Conference Quarterfinals
By Dan Rosen - NHL.com Staff Writer

Jeremy Roenick was eating dinner with family and friends in an upscale Scottsdale restaurant on June 9, 2001. He vividly remembers the date, if not the meal, because that same night, roughly 850 miles away in Denver, Ray Bourque was playing for his first and only Stanley Cup.

So, if you were in Scottsdale that night, the guy you saw running back and forth between that swanky restaurant and the local bar three blocks away was good old J.R.

“The closest TV was three blocks from the restaurant,” Roenick told NHL.com. “I got up three different times and ran three blocks to see where it was in the game to make sure I got to see Ray Bourque raise the Stanley Cup. I specifically remember running three blocks, leaving my family and friends, to watch him do that.”

If Roenick gets his wish now, someone will be running to watch him raise the Cup for the first time ever this coming June. Read The Rest of the Article Here

Murph and the Hockey Easter Bunnies!

Hockey Easter Eve was amazing at Jobing.com Arena! My mom and I went to the Coyotes game. What a GAME it was!  The Coyotes took the lead early, so I went to the Den to shop came back and the Ducks had tied the game. OT was close … lots of shots on goal. In the shootout, Tikhonov was the game winner with an amazing slow motion goal on  Jean-Sebastian Giguere (the goal actually had to be reviewed).  This is my favorite game of the year, the last game is all about the FANS!

Ducks fans went home Quacking:)  Have a Happy Hockey Easter! Murph #27

San Jose Sharks vs Phoenix Coyotes

I was driving to the Coyotes game tonight and Jeremy Roenick called me back, he asked if I was wearing my signed Sharks jersey to the game!! YES!! He said he would hook me up with some passes to come downstairs.

The game was totally awesome. Started out pretty awful with the Sharks down by 3 goals.  But, the San Jose Sharks made a total comeback in the 2nd and 3rd periods to tie the game. The fights were out of control, and yes I saw blood. I was bumming, seriously bumming when Doan scored with just seconds left on the clock. I wanted OT!!! But, I was happy for Doan, it was an incredible goal he scored while being tackled by a Shark! He was so happy:)

Leprachaun Murph Watching the Sharks GameI watched the game with some of my hockey friends and took them with me downstairs. We got to see a lot of Sharks and Coyotes players and they were really awesome to pose for pictures with us.

It was an awesome hockey night in Glendale!! Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Luck of the Irish! Murph

I still can’t believe I was in San Jose last week.  It was raining all day, and my mom and I got soaked!!  It’s so funny because my mom almost rented a convertible!  We went to a very cool restaurant Aldo’s, that is where the Sharks go  all the time for lunch.  Our waiter was Frenchy … although he was very Italian!  The food was so good!!  I kept thinking that “I can’t believe I am eating lunch, in front of Jeremy Roenick,” but I kept eating and even had an awesome piece of chocolate cake!!  Jeremy had his usual, he ate the biggest bowl of pasta I have ever seen and had some chicken with it.

Jeremy gave me a shout out on his website!  He is totally the coolest, I picked a great hockey HERO!  Lunch was so over the top and I still can’t believe it happened.  It was the best surprise my parents gave me yet! They ROCK too!!
