I will be spending the Labor Day weekend in Scottsdale at the Alltel Ice Den playing HOCKEY!  I am really pumped up for this season with the Phoenix Polar Bears.

First up, the Polar Bears take on the Canyon State Cougars on Saturday (9/4) at 3:30 pm, the complete schedule is here.

We got our new PB gear last night and it is pretty sweet!

Come out to the Ice Den this weekend and support youth hockey in the Valley, while getting a hockey fix before the NHL season starts!  Go Polar Bears!!

I get most of my gear from BTM in Chandler & Gilbert, but today I went to Scottsdale for the opening of the Super Store on Shea Blvd. It is really BIG and the guys at the store were great!

This store has an awesome selection of pads, sticks, skates and Goalie gear. Ryan helped me put on some new Warrior Swagger pads, and he also sized my new stick for me.

The Goalie pads are on my Xmas list!, along with some lessons!

IMG_5305It was friends, food, fun and HOCKEY Saturday night at Jobing.com Arena.  Before the game, my family attended a Coyotes tailgating party.  I played a little hockey with some Coyotes fans, everyone was so pumped up for the doors to open and get inside.  I got to meet Doug Moss, he was so excited about Opening Night.

I won a signed Shane Doan hockey puck (on his 33rd birthday), from HockeyBuzz for the sign I made … AWESOME!  It was really cool seeing everyone wearing WHITE.  YandleI saw so many Roenick #97 Coyotes Jerseys.

I finally saw a NHL player with an Easton S19 Hockey Stick up close, when Yandle went to the penalty box.  Wow, I want one!

I really wanted a Coyotes Win, but loosing the game did not take away from all the excitement I felt about the COYOTES being back on the ice in Glendale, AZ and going to my first WhiteOut Hockey game.

My Coach said it best after we lost a game like that “an eye opener … moving forward.”

The word is Josh is back at Behind the Mask! That is great news!! Although; Steven and Jordan helped size me for new roller blades and a Warrior Hockey Stick yesterday. Behind the Mask is the place to go, for all your hockey & roller hockey stuff!! These guys take the time to make sure you get what you need and that you are sized perfectly. They have an awesome selection of sticks and I So Many Stick Choices at Behind the Mask! found the one I wanted to take to Canada!!

I’m leaving for Calgary, Canada on June 20th to participate in the Stampede Challenge AAA Hockey Tournament!

I got a chance to use my blades this morning and they are awesome. The stick is sweet! I got so many great birthday presents!

This trip to the snow is paying off, 2-1 in the first period, Flagstaff is up.  Things changed quickly, tough loss 5-2, not one of our better games.  Here are some clips of the game.  Lots of missed opportunities.  We will do better tomorrow.
