Update from San Jose – Murph Meets the Sharks

JR took me and my Mom into the Sharks Locker Room this afternoon. I met just about all the NHL Sharks. Patrick Marleau gave me his stick and JR gave me his gloves and one of his sticks and they both signed them! This is Awesome! I even spent some time with Claude Lemieux, Joe Thorton, Jonathan Cheechoo, Rob Blake and Brian Boucher. This is Awesome! My Mom video taped me meeting everyone, I will post the videos when I get home.

Here is a picture my Mom took of me with her phone with JR’s Gloves. Hockey Rocks!”

Now it’s off to lunch!

Jr. Coyotes Win vs The San Diego Saints 11-0

Totally awesome shut-out for the Jr. Coyotes Goalie vs the San Diego Saints.  What a Valentine treat that was!!  I had a good game and picked up a goal and two assists.  Looking forward to the BIG game vs the Jr. Sharks bright and early tomorrow morning, we have a 9am game.

I meet some of the Dallas Penguins players this morning at breakfast.  Then we headed to see the Seals on the beach, it was so cool.  We stopped and had lunch at a really awesome place and headed back to get ready for the game.  I am having a great time with my dad and Becca.

In bed early tonight, so I am prepared for the morning!  Later.

The mother seals are on the beach and the babies are at the edge of the water.

Murph is Having Fun on the Ice

My trip to Michigan was awesome! The weather was so COLD! I went to a park that had an outdoor ice rink and played hockey for a few hours. I had such a great time and met some really nice Michigan hockey friends.

The ice rinks were so cool. Our first game against the Dorchester Dragons ended in a 2-2 tie. The second game we took on the Saint Clair Shores team and won 20-0. Our final game, we faced the Florida Raiders and lost 7-5. After being eliminated; the Jr. Coyotes played in two scrimmages, one with the Flyers from Voorhees and the other with the Westchester Vipers from NY.

My mom and I had a great time in Michigan, I will never forget this Silver Stick Tournament.

Murph with Scott Storkan Phoenix Coyotes Hockey Development

After that awesome Coyotes game; I got to meet Scott Storkan, the Manager of the Phoenix Coyotes Hockey Development program. The Coyotes are donating back packs and gloves to the Jr. Coyotes for their trip to Silver Stick Nationals in Michigan this month.

Thank you Mr. Storkan for answering my email and the generous donation! The Phoenix Coyotes ROCK!

Murph meets Coyotes Rookies

What a great way to end the day.  I went to a hockey pin trading event held in Scottsdale.  Some of the teams that are playing in the Murph meets Coyotes Rookie BoedkerCoyote Cup Tournament came together tonight to trade their team pins.  I traded my CAHA pins and got some really cool ones from San Diego, Mission Ice AZ, Bay Harbor Red Wings CA, Alaska Wolves, Mat Su Eagles Alaska and the California Stars.

Two of the NHL Coyotes Rookies came to the event to sign autographs.  I met Mikkel Boedker #89, a right winger from Denmark and Viktor Tikhonov #41, another right winger from Latvia.
