EA Sports NHL11 Rocks!

For those of you who are living under a rock, NHL11 was released last Tuesday. Its Killer! The game is so much better then NHL10. The face offs are pretty cool and you can even break your stick. It has new quick dekes, hip checks and when the home team scores, the scoring player gets a spot light. There is a lot more but you need to see it for yourself. My gamertag is murphhockey.

LOL My Dad can’t figure out how to win a face off yet.

The only thing that isn’t cool is that if you have more then one Live account on your Xbox, EA Sports wants $9.99 for you to play online for each additional account. So my account was free but my Dad had to pay 10 bucks.

It looks like NHL11 will be the only hockey game in town for Xbox and PS3. 2K11 is only for the Wii this year. No big loss!

If your going to buy NHL11, I would appreciate if you pick it up at my store. I have both versions there. Here is the direct Link: NHL11

I Dream of Watching JR Lift the Cup

Roenick hopes Cup is career’s exclamation point
Tuesday, 04.14.2009 / 12:26 PM / 2009 Playoffs Conference Quarterfinals
By Dan Rosen - NHL.com Staff Writer

Jeremy Roenick was eating dinner with family and friends in an upscale Scottsdale restaurant on June 9, 2001. He vividly remembers the date, if not the meal, because that same night, roughly 850 miles away in Denver, Ray Bourque was playing for his first and only Stanley Cup.

So, if you were in Scottsdale that night, the guy you saw running back and forth between that swanky restaurant and the local bar three blocks away was good old J.R.

“The closest TV was three blocks from the restaurant,” Roenick told NHL.com. “I got up three different times and ran three blocks to see where it was in the game to make sure I got to see Ray Bourque raise the Stanley Cup. I specifically remember running three blocks, leaving my family and friends, to watch him do that.”

If Roenick gets his wish now, someone will be running to watch him raise the Cup for the first time ever this coming June. Read The Rest of the Article Here

Watching the Coyotes take on the Stars!

Totally enjoying the Coyotes vs Stars game with my dad!  It is great to see Turco in the house, he is awesome!!  Bryzgalov is totally being shot on and saving everything so far.  Almost the end of the first period, and the Yotes are on a Power Play and looking to put a goal on the board!!  Go Yotes!!

Coyotes vs Stars Game

This game was totally amazing!!  Going into OT with the score 0-0, and ending with a shootout winning goal by Turris!  Coyotes win 1-0.

Jr. Coyotes heading to Michigan

I am looking forward to the New Year!  2009 will bring good things in hockey!  The Jr. Coyotes are heading to chilly St. Clair Shores, Michigan to compete in the Silver Stick National Championship Finals Tournament, which is being held January 22nd thru 25th.

Murph gets one in the first period

This trip to the snow is paying off, 2-1 in the first period, Flagstaff is up.  Things changed quickly, tough loss 5-2, not one of our better games.  Here are some clips of the game.  Lots of missed opportunities.  We will do better tomorrow.
