I will never forget coming home from school today and logging
onto RoenickLife.com and watching Jeremy Roenick speak about his retirement from the NHL after 20 seasons. He said it’s not a sad day … but to me it is. I will not get to watch him play this season. I can’t imagine that, I have watched him play since I was three.
I thank JR for being a friend and an awesome role model. I will continue to wear his number and dream big. I want to be like Jeremy Roenick when I grow up!
Good luck in the future!

I had such a great time in Canada. The Stampede Challenge AAA Hockey Tournament, was the BEST tournament ever. Ten days in Canada, was not long enough. I wish it was a month! My 2000 team had only four practice together, and some of the Canadian teams had been together for 3 years, so it was really competitive hockey. They were checking and the refs did not make any calls! It was physical!!
I had some really cool Coaches. Coach Johnson will be the head Coach for the USHL’s Fargo Force and Coach Hengen plays hockey for the Deggendorf Fire GerObL in Germany. He is also #27, like me!
I made a lot of new friends. We still keep in touch on xBox Live and email each other. My first hockey trip to Canada was awesome and something I will never forget. Thank you Team Northwest and Todd Collins!

This was a big moment for me! I met the NHL Deputy Commissioner at the Alltel Ice Den on Monday night. After interviewing with the news stations (Fanster.com has the full interview), he stopped to thank the Coyotes FANS and to pose for a picture with me. My mom has already printed this picture and framed it in my room.
One day, I will meet with the Commissioner again … when I am in the NHL! Murph #27
Thank you Save The Coyotes Coalition, for letting me know Mr. Daly was coming!

My first time through Customs was so cool, I got a stamp in my passport book with Calgary on it. The agent was talking to me about playing hockey and said “good luck in the tournament.”
It took about an hour to get from Calgary to Canmore. The mountains still have snow on the peaks. WOW! It is amazing. We went this afternoon to the Canmore Recreational Center to get our uniforms and
I was able to get on the ice for a while and skate. The TNW jacket is really awesome!
I am off now to bed, long day. Very Exciting. My first team practice is tomorrow afternoon. I am looking forward to meeting my Coaches and the rest of my teammates. GO TNW!

The COYOTES are staying in Glendale, AZ! That is the best news ever!! Thank you Judge
Baum for that great decision. I am looking forward to celebrating with the Coyotes Fans. I do feel bad for the Canadian fans, that hoped to get a team in Hamilton. Having your own NHL team is the best feeling in the world. Hockey RULES and so do YOTES fans!!
