High Octane ~ Jr. Coyotes beat the Jr. Sharks 6-2

This game was so full of excitement!!  The parents were going crazy in the stands.  The Jr. Sharks were undefeated going into this game. They were in for a shock!

We went down 2-1 early, but came storming back with 4 unanswered goals.

It was a very physical game and after our first goal, a player from the Sharks team hit me in the helmet when the refs were not watching.  That was not cool!

Everyone on our team played great!  Our defense really showed up big today.  Our Goalie Tristan, made two incredible break away saves in the third period.

I am really proud of our team.  Next game tomorrow night against another California team, the Santa Clara Blackhawks.  Then onto the Championship on Sunday morning.

Our first victory vs Tri Valley Blue Devils 5-0

Our first game of the tournament was 4:30 pm on Thanksgiving Day.  My team played great and we won 5-0.  I had many shots on goal, but was finally able to put one in during the third period with a pass from my linemate.  One game down and three to go.

Murph has landed in San Jose

I just touched down in San Jose, CA. It was a great plane ride! I have my gear and I am just waiting on the rental car with my dad. I am so excited!  We are planning to get some lunch and walk around downtown and then get ready for the Sharks game tonight.

San Jose Silver Sticks Tournament for Thanksgiving

Our team has just confirmed that we are heading to San Jose, CA for Thanksgiving.  We will be participating in the Silver Sticks Mite A Regional Qualifier from November 27th ~ 30th.  This will be my first Regional Tournament with the hopes of attending the Nationals in St. Clair Shores, MI in January 2009.  It is there that we would play against the best teams in the US and Canada.  I am taking the trip with my dad, I can’t wait to play hockey in San Jose!

My Coach is really excited about taking our team to San Jose.  We have been working very hard at practice in order to prepare for November.  Going to San Jose will be a great experience for the Mite A Jr. Coyotes and something we will never forget.

My main focus will be the Regional Tournament but I am so excited to have tickets to the San Jose Sharks game while I am there.  I am looking forward to seeing Jeremy Roenick and Joe Thornton work their magic!  They are a true inspiration to any hockey player.
