Colorado Hockey was Physical!

What a great tournament in Arvada!  The teams we played were physical and the refs rarely stopped the play for penalties.  Although our record was 0-2-2, Coach Goldberg said “we came home a better hockey team.”

Playing pond hockey with my team and Coach Nietz & Goldberg was the highlight for me!

I love the Holidays …

because that means a HOCKEY tourney!  If you get a chance to come and watch the Phoenix Polar Bears Squirt A team will be playing in the Coyotes Cup at the Alltel Ice Den in Scottsdale.  First game is Monday morning at 8:30 am.  Full schedule HERE!  I added a Championship WIN to my Christmas list!

Merry Christmas and Happy Hockey Holidays!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The Phoenix Polar Bear Squirt A team, donned PINK tape on their sticks yesterday to show their support for those facing Breast Cancer. I played my game yesterday for my cousin Posie, who was diagnosed this month and underwent surgery this past week. My first goal was dedicated to her!

Please visit my American Cancer Society Making Strides page and support me in the fight against Breast Cancer. Together, as a team … we can make a difference. Thank you!

Grand Canyon State Games Champions!

It was a great way to end the 2009-10 Squirt A season, by winning the State Championship Title!!

Coach Ed Kastelic & Murph

Murph & Coach Ed Kastelic

At the end of March, the Phoenix Polar Bears played the Jr. Coyotes in the Championship game of the Grand Canyon State Games and won 6-2.  It was another amazing victory!

My Squirt A team finished the season undefeated in league games with a record of 19-0.

I had a great season with awesome teammates and an awesome Coach!  Coach Ed Kastelic taught me a lot this year, and it was an honor to play for him.

It was a perfect season and I will never forget it!

Clean Sweep in Arvada, CO!

Victory was SWEET!!This past weekend the Phoenix Polar Bear Squirt A team showed up BIG in Colorado for the MLK Tournament in Arvada, CO.  Despite all the obstacles we faced, we were undefeated in 5 all games!

I missed my scheduled flight home because we made it to the Championship Game!!  It was well worth it … the trophy was AWESOME and victory is sweet!

Thank you to the awesome lady at Southwest Airlines that got me on the next flight home to Phoenix,  just because I was wearing a hat with hockey sticks on it!  HOCKEY ROCKS!

Colorado Bound … Arvada MLK Hockey Tournament
